Antonio Romano is Full Professor at the Dept. of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Turin and scientific director of the Laboratory of Experimental Phonetics "Arturo Genre". He is also the coordinator of the Master in Translation for Cinema, TV and Multimedia.
After a graduation in 1994 at the Politecnico di Torino and a "Diplôme d'Études Approfondies" (D.E.A.) at the Université Stendhal in Grenoble (France), he attended a European PhD in Language Science in Grenoble. His doctoral dissertation (discussed in 1999) was judged "très honorable avec félicitations du Jury".

His teaching activities in Italian Universities and abroad began in 1996. In the last years, he has been teaching in the following courses:
